Keplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11125538872924743270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-19006357542223833382013-11-28T18:49:58.211+01:002013-11-28T18:49:58.211+01:00Happy Thanksgiving Daniel! For all my years (11) in Caracas (Sabana Grande) and now I mark one year in the States (because of what is happening in Caracas/Venezuela), I wish you and yours much love and protection. I was and still am glued to your website, as well as M. Octavio and F. Toro....for my heart is still with the hope that I had to make a life with my husband in Caracas. He's there and I'm here. I gave up...coupled with my expecting a social explosion of some sort...the fear and being locked up for my security and safety for those 11 years became unbearable. It was my choice to go there and live and also, my choice to see that it was time to go...becaue of the situation and the lack of hope that I see for the future there. What American citizen can accept living in a Cuban controlled country??? Every year there I made the typical Thanksgiving feast for my in-laws and friends...scouting out my cans of super expensive Campbell's Cream of chicken mushroom soup for my cornbread dressing and green bean casseroles (you know the typical 'gummy' dishes served at Thanksgiving in the States. I usually got them from the Central Mad. in Chacaito or the abasto in Central Lido. I did it all....how many times, I had to be sure that I measured out how many eggs I would use because of the difficulty in having what I needed with the scarcity. Caring for packets of flour in my refrigerator for months....planning to have enough for the holidays...I cannot even imagine how crazy I would have been with all the scarcity now. Oh well.....I am looking today for your usual Happy Thanksgiving post that you have made for years (at least for mine in Caracas and the time that I have reading you and still reading you) for your friends in the States. I probably need a 12-step group to help me give up the addiction of reading the Venezuelan news. Today, I also give THANKS to you and for your helping me try and make sense of what was happening and coming....for so long. Peace and many cyber hugs!!! However the only blogs I like about worms are the ones related to fishing.Charlynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-75361778030991256922013-11-26T00:03:37.241+01:002013-11-26T00:03:37.241+01:00aplausos, Daniel.aplausos, Daniel.sydnoreply@blogger.com
