However, if the revolution is somehow able to survive hyperinflation and shortages of basic products by creating a Cuban style economy, it would be suicidal to wait. I've been struggling to analyze a possible economic scenario of some sort of quality standard of living that can be supported by petrodollars. I just can't see anything but things getting much worse than they are now.Gordohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15691999086847940690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-44979879187651511412013-12-17T01:04:43.872+01:002013-12-17T01:04:43.872+01:00Brilliant post.

In the midst of all the criollo "sturm and drang" we are experiencing after the 8th, it is very much needed. I read you regularly along with other blogs that keep me connected from afar; am grateful for all, but this time - you are the man! :) Gracias de corazon, y desde bajo la nieve en Indiana - por la 3a vez en lo que va de diciembre! :( - mis mejores deseos para ti y SO, que espero estea completamente restablecido!Lauranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-90312807345665444222013-12-16T19:37:55.503+01:002013-12-16T19:37:55.503+01:00This is really smart and fair analysis. I could not agree more.

Capriles and some in the MUD believe that next year conditions may be ripe for some constitutionally sound event, this will go nowhere even if the economy deteriorates further, unless they are working as more than an election platform.

Roberto NAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-2224104412564364842013-12-16T10:49:30.976+01:002013-12-16T10:49:30.976+01:00Thank you but let's not give names. The thing is that there is a blame game going around that is very ill founded and that is making people commit idiotic mistakes like Capriles crap shot at Lopez. Then again, after 3 years now of enforced gospel of unity it is time for the occasional heresy.Danielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12128609182544333477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-49394825502552796882013-12-16T06:06:57.290+01:002013-12-16T06:06:57.290+01:00Wow. Your logic and insight into how these thugs have captured the election process is outstanding, spot-on. Thanks for posting that....Dr. Faustusnoreply@blogger.com
