Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement today on past comments by Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez in support of Muammar Qaddafi:

“Birds of a feather flock together. That’s why, while the rest of the world is calling on Qaddafi to surrender and bring an end to the suffering of the Libyan people, the likes of Castro and Chavez are expressing their support for him.

“Chavez has said that it was a lie that Qaddafi was attacking civilians, and has ludicrously claimed that western countries are only involved because they want Libya’s oil.

“Castro has said that there is a ‘colossal campaign of lies’ about Libya, and has praised Qaddafi’s education and health care systems.

“Qaddafi is also fond of his dictatorial counterparts – he has awarded the Muammar Qaddafi Human Rights Prize to Castro and Chavez, and a stadium near Benghazi is named Hugo Chavez Stadium.

“These thugs are all the same. The will of free people is their greatest fear, and that is why they support each other’s attempts to crush it.”

"The will of free people is their greatest fear."-isn't it so horrible-they are so afraid of free people..Rnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4080946.post-89206378789846987922011-08-22T21:52:01.378+02:002011-08-22T21:52:01.378+02:00Cabareteras?
