Since there is no "where is Waldoniel" this year (sorry AIO) maybe we can have a prize for whomever can identify the three fruits in French and in English. A big smooch if you manage both (PS: "plums" is not enough...) And yes, what you see in the background is low tide, so yes, I am also into fishy stuff....
Lemme guess
ReplyDeletePeach: La peche
Plum: La Prune
Pear: Le poire
I'll pass on the smooch
I think I made a mistake and the large one is apricot, abricot
ReplyDeleteglenn
ReplyDeleteyou only got one. you need to give the specific names of the type of fruit. no smooch for you.
Abricot -apricot
ReplyDeletePrune Reine Claude- Greengage
Prune Mirabelle-Mirabelle plum
Enjoy your stay,
Claco

ReplyDeleteyou win. whenever we meet i'll smooch you :)
Lovely, just to look at and breathe in the environment.
ReplyDeleteDaniel, I was thinking (oh,no -ha)
-where do most Venezuelans go?
Being involved in tourism some, I urged Venezuelans recently to visit Chile-for example.Noone interested. I even urged my nephew-studying accounting-to apply there.No.
Anyway, certainly mostVenezuelans visit US-Disney, (and I suppose most Venezuelan ex-pats live in Florida)-maybe this is why Chavez really hates US so much-he has to compete with Mickey-haha.
And,without Minnie...
Funny, I just was at the supermarket and saw them all. I was not sure about buying some because I am not familiar with them, I may try. Which prume is the sweetest?

ReplyDeleteMirabelle is sweater. Reine Claude is kind of an acquiered faste.
«Mirabelle is sweater. Reine Claude is kind of an acquiered faste.»
ReplyDeleteSweater? Acquiered? Faste?
Daniel, you've been drinking too much mirabelle!
Comme Joseph, tiens:
Joseph absorba coup sur coup trois verres de mirabelle des Vosges (Duhamel, Passion J. Pasquier, 1945, p.186).

ReplyDeleteThis picture reminds me of a quote
ReplyDeleteby Karl Lagerfeld-
“What I hate most in life are people who are not really the peach of the day but who want to be young and sexy. You can fool nobody. There is a moment when you have to accept that somebody else is younger and fresher and hotter. Life is not a beauty contest.”
