It seems clear that Chavez has kicked the game table. Sore loser he just took the chips and declared victory. How come I am not surprised?

But something is fishy even among themselves.

Why not the traditional cadena?

Why the middle of the night mission to the OAS and Carter Center?

Why was Jorge Rodriguez away when Carrasquero announced the result?

Why was Chavez alone in Miraflores with just Jesse Chacon, who by the way seemed quite cocky today?

And if I were not that tired I could come up with more questions.

Folks, we have to wait for the OAS and Carter. My best bet for the time being: the opposition decided to claim fraud officially on Tuesday to give 24 hours to the OAS and the Carter center to "negotiate" a way out of the fraud. I doubt very much that the opposition would go out and say what they said a few minutes ago if they and not consulted Gaviria and Carter. One thing is certain is that application of the Interamerican Chart is almost an irreversible step, with terrible consequences, probably pushing Chavez to severe repression of his people. Because do not fool yourself: after what Ramos Allup declaration Chavez will be able to rule only if he starts arresting people or forcing them into exile.

And let's not fool ourselves: the crimes that chavismo has been accused with mean jail for a few. They know that if they leave the protection of power, a few of them will land in jail. They are desperate, and desperate and cornered thugs will do all sorts of crazy things.
