Another one for the bolibanana records. The finance minister of Venezuela, Nelson Merentes, a once upon a time mathematician now turned president of Venezuela's central bank, does not know that 1 ton is 1000 kilos and thinks that 7 times seven is around 36. As La Patilla points out, maybe the Chavez cadena frazzled him, but still... can you imagine Merentes at question time in the commons?
The video edited by La Patilla replays at the end the 7X7=36. The moment when Merentes does not know the 7 tons=7000 kilos is not as obvious but around sec 22 you can hear someone whispering it to him...
They are going to steal that gold, just watch out! Those people just want to grab it and split the loot. They cannot even be bothered in having their facts straight!
Daniel, qué esperanza!
ReplyDeleteAnd.. am I mistaken or does chávez think that 7 tons are equal to 7 gold bars??? Of course, I'm no expert -the only gold I know of comes in the form of jewelry!- but it seems impossible that 1 bar would weight 1000 kilos!
Google has many sites about it.. and I found they range from 1 to 15 kilos aprox. They come in the form of bars or bricks. But they could NEVER weight a TON!
Again: qué esperanza tenemos con una gente que ni se sabe la tabla de multiplicar!
Chavez perfected the art
ReplyDeleteof being stupid -maybe he
was born with this talent.
And, it is extemely contagious,
all chavistas are infected at
least to some degree now.
And finding his "father figure"-
Fidel completed his stupid
'vision quest'.
Chavez said,
"Fidel-you complete me."
RabiBulla has a point. Not the first time I notice Merentes is intimidated by (scared of?) Chavez. So his brain goes in neutral and the poor lad mumbles anything that comes by. His whole attitude shows he is under pressure and not thinking properly. And, he is not alone in that respect; look at most of them when they face the Chief. Must take quite a toll on their health. Careful, they may end up like the boss.
ReplyDelete...And all the sycophants are now aping their leader by wearing the same kinds of clothes ##%^%!
ReplyDeleteI guess that's part of why Chavez thinkS that HE is the pueblo...
"LE ESTAN TOMANDO EL PELO"
ReplyDeleteEsperen... ese oro regresa a Venezuela, si o si y PUFF! desaparecera mas rapido que los reales de PDVSA
I concur that Thugo intimidates his minister, has him befuddled. When an answer that is not "Si, mi comandante" results in a tirade from Thugo, this is the result.
ReplyDeleteBecause Mr. Minister is afraid of being subjected to a Thugo Tirade, he has suspended his ability think for himself when in Thugo's presence.Unfortunately, this also shuts down his ability to do multiplication learned in the third or fourth grade.
Chavez will never be satisfied with
ReplyDeletethe Venezuelan people- they are not "socialist enough"-he prefers to surround himself with Cubanos that he can trust. So, Venezuelans will continue to be ground down, down to level of Cuban people. Welcome to Cubazuela.
You are being too hard on him. If 6X6 is 36, then 7X7 is around 36. It's only logical.
ReplyDeleteThese guys automaticly deduct the Commission when they calculate!
