Laureano writes to the Pope in Brazil

In the spirit of dress down Fridays, and after a frantic blog activity since last week end, I figure out that a little humor could be enjoyed by those who like me enjoy the occasional Latin phrase. Laureano Marquez of the more than unjust Tal Cual fine wrote in Latin to the Pope because as he said writing in Spanish in Venezuela is now dangerous. And the best part of it is that I do not need to translate. Though it helps if you understand Spanish. Click and enjoy!

Carum Papae Benedictine:

Boliviae, Argentinae et super totus Cubae desangrae Bolívar terreae: Simili modo popule meo sed in miserere nobis.

A priori déficit habitat, et déficit urbi et orbi. Mare mágnum in extremis. Corpore insepulto, in memoriam ultimátum en atracum.

Habeas corpus grosso modo, in vivo manu militari.

¿Quo Vadis Venezuelae? Domine nostro sapere. Turba multa mea culpa et turba multa TalCual, periodicae Teodorae per scriptum meo rex filiae.

Ovum, res et lacteum finibit anaquelorum.

Via crucis at populorum mercatum. Et vox populi: “Res non verba”.

Sanctus Pater tibi gratia veni vidi vinci.

Carpe diem. Terrae mea non plus ultra. Ave Papam morituri te salutant.

Amicus tuo, Laureatus Maquensis

Post Scriptum: Ne nos indúcas in
tentationem, sed libera nos a malo.
Amén

Comments policy:

1) Comments are moderated after the third day of publication. It may take up to a day or two for your note to appear then.

2) Your post will appear if you follow the following rules. I will be ruthless in erasing any comment that do not follow these rules, as well as those who replied to that off rule comment.

3)COMMENT RULES:
Do not be repetitive.
Do not bring grudges and fights from other blogs here (this is the strictest rule).
This is an anti Chavez blog, with more than 95% anti Chavez readers that have made up their minds long ago. Thus trying to prove us wrong is considered a troll. Still, you are welcome as a chavista to post,> in particular if you want to explain us coherently as to why chavismo does this or that. We are still waiting for that to happen once.
Insults and put downs are frowned upon and I will be sole judge on whether to publish them.
