After this self portrait I hope the reader will forgive me if I do not start with an edge the new year. Jumping from a hammock in the middle of nowhere to discuss the Chavez cabinet change and the FARC children abuse which waited for me upon my arrival a couple of hours ago will take at least a one night adjustment.
