Problems with blogger

UPDATED

Again, Blogger's platform is acting up!  It happened last year on October 7 and a lot of people could not access the blog. Now it is more wide spread since I cannot access several Blogger pages, including mine and Gustavo's. The problem has been going on and off since Friday which actually makes me suspicious...  I can read your comments through the edit page that I can reach but I cannot reply to them.  Please, let me know whether you can read the blog and from which country.  This entry will be erased when things get back to normal.

Update.

It seems to be a Venezuelan problem based on the replies to this entry. Only people inside Venezuela have problems. Right now I can finally get back in the blog (I could access it from my mobile but there is a kink in my browser and I cannot post comments that way, not even read them....).  And yet I cannot read Gustavo`s blog.

In short it is fair to speculate that the problem is indeed in Venezuela and we can even speculate about "filters" by CANTV.  Except that I wonder why they would filter me but not the 90% of people that answered and can see the blog without any problem.....

Since I was citing Napoleon the other day, there is one appropriate for this case, maybe:

Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.

    I had problems all weekend.
I finally tried to use a USA based proxy & got through.

I've also been having problems with Google products - iGoogle, Google news, Gmail, etc.
Mostly images don't appear - backgrounds & just now all the images in Google news.
    .
I haven't seen any reports in my webmaster forums so the suspect might be here in Venezuela.

Here in Catia La Mar I tried three times to enter un your blog and couldn´t. I again tried copying your address bar and wrongly ommited the hyphen between daniel and venezuela, and ended in a very strange daniel on blogspot too, completely nude of any information, like if it be "in construction ", tried writing again correctly the adress bar and !at last! entered your place. Sometime like that have happened in this late days. Thank your for your blog, be safe (you and your blog)

Shortly after posting my comment at around 5 pm I tried to come back to the blog again & it was blocked. I immediately used a proxy & got in with no trouble.

This is definitely an internal Venezuelan problem

I think I have this figured out.

Gusdavo Coronel had a column outling the probabilities of Chavez being dead.
They wanted to block his specific Blog which is also on Blogspot
    http://lasarmasdecoronel.blogspot.com/

It is still blocked in Venezuela however easily reachable with a proxy.

As Blogspot is a Google property & as they are obviously unskilled at what they do they have affected other bloggers as well as other Google services which may be on the same servers & IP ranges.

After 3 days they now appear to have narrowed it down a little but I'm still having problems with Google services.

Daniel, for the moment, is reachable.

There you have it - heavy handed dictator crap to protect information that is reachable from many other sources.
Gustavo's column has been reproduced in ND.
