The bridge of shame

The picture below has been flying all around the world from different angles.

Chavista hell hole far in the horizon
It is one of the most perfect symbols of the crap that chavismo has always been, just exacerbated these days.

The fact first.  International help is arriving at the Colombian border.  Today was the first day that we were told that help would cross the border and start being distributed to an eagerly awaiting population. That bridge would have been one fo the important crossing points. This morning day light brought us the three way bridge blocked by some rusty steel, two discarded containers and an out of work gas carrying truck wagon.  All of them had their logo removed, by the way.

The excuse of the regime is that that help is the start of an invasion by foreign forces and that Venezuela does not need that help.  For any leftist that reads this, and there are none at this point as they are circling the wagons in incestuous mind fuck, I would like to point out that help or any commercial shipment must go through customs. Were Trojan containers it would quickly be noticed and neutralized.

Second, regardless on what the situation inside the country is (and it is well documents that is is miserable) the fact that millions have fled the country in the past couple of years is enough to settle the issue as to whether there is a crisis.  The refugee numbers are given by the UN, thus almost unimpeachable.

Why the regime would be willing to put up with the humiliation of such pictures today?  Because this has been the image of the day and trust me, it never got rave reviews outside of a very few sick minds.  Besides the tug of war of the regime against international opinion the simplest explanation is that the regime cannot allow, ever, to let anyone give anything to the people. ONLY the regime can distribute goods to the masses, so they can remain grateful, dependent, dominated by the regime.  A simple image of some foreigners distributing food and medicine to the down trodden that goes viral and there goes years of propaganda.

But beyond the politics behind that help the picture stroke me as a powerful symbol of what chavismo is at heart, if it has one.

Chavismo is unimaginative. Don't tell me that you could not up with something a little bit more bellicose than these three wrecks.

Chavismo is lazy and thus careless.  Old containers and rusted iron were carelessly dropped to block the road. Note a few things. The irresponsible bravado of the Venezuelan army that actually thinks that such objects could stop the advancing foreign armies if they decided on an attack.  There are no soldiers around, they are hiding way in the back.  In a normal operation there would be a few guards standing by the shadows of the container, if anything to make sure that the first blood to run is Venezuelan one to score a victimization bonus.  But no, the army is cowardly far in the back and probably ready to run away if the Colombians were to try to force the issue.

Chavismo is lazy and coward, just as Chavez was already in 1992.

And of course, chavismo is genocidal as I have already stated in this blog more than once.  Depriving your own people of food, medicine, refuge, protection and willingly left to die if necessary is genocidal.  And adjectives that goes very well with lazy and coward.

There you have it, chavismo in all of its miserable glory.

  4. Yeah, that bridge will forever "live in infamy" as the US President said after Pearl Harbor.. That was the dumbest PR move Chavismo has ever made. The images and videos have gone viral on social media, condemned worldwide all day long. If you have FB, Twitter etc, you see them over and over again everyday.. If Chavismo's image could be further deteriorated worldwide, this infamous bridge did it. D

Dumb, dumb move. The US and other countries will find ways to cross the border anyway. They must, fly it in, blow the blockades with RPG's, dig tunnels, whatever.. but these images will live forever in out minds, clearly illustrating what Chavismo really is: a Filthy, Genocidal Narco-Kleptocracy.
Criminals deserving jail, or the death penalty, after 30 years at La Tumba.

  5. I can't believe a proud imbecile like The Donald, with radical republicans like Pompeo, Bolton and Abrams are willing to just sit at the border, humiliated by Maduro, defeated, letting Venezuelans die everyday:

Elliott Abrams, the State Department special envoy to Venezuela, said at a Thursday news conference that, while determined to deliver the aid to the Venezuelan people, the United States and other opposition supporters would not do so by “force.”

“We will be moving aid to the border of Venezuela in the hope that — and there is some aid there now — in the hope that we will be able to get it in,” Abrams said. “I don’t think that we or the Colombians or the Brazilians or anyone else is planning to try to force it in.”

What do you think will happen? I doubt they'll just wait to see if Venezuelan forces or 'el pueblo' open up the freaking borders. Impeding Humanitarian aid is considered, btw, an Act of War on the Geneva Agreement of 1966.. BLOW those freaking blockades up with a few RPG's!!

    1. It's not about aid to the people it is an attempt to get the people to grow a spine and fight the regime in order to get it in hopes the average military grunt will side with the opposition.
I don't get why the opposition doesn't use food, medicine and no ey to just dangle free for the military grunts if they side with one of the defected generals. They would all go for some free carrot cake.
As for Maduro and dumb PR stunts we have heard nothing but how dumb they are since their conception but yet they stole a country and 100 billion in wealth. Clearly they have sophisticated handlers and the picture of the blocked bridge is just yet another stunt by the people behind the scenes to paint what picture they want to general populations of the world to think. They play us all as a bunch of dummies. Is exactly right why wouldn't Maduro have the army take the food to the people from the border, only give it to his loyal card carrying followers (half) and send the other half to Cuba. Would stop the USA immediately from sending it. By that's not the movie his handlers or those pulling the strings what us to see. Is just rich powerful people using others as disposable puppets.

  6. I just looked a Marine Traffic for PTO Cabbelo and there were only 4 ships in and non expected. I suspect they were loaded and sailed before the shit hit the fan. There were tankers around Coro but many don't care and once oil is bought its yours to haul away.

I understand that re-tweeting does not mean agreement so can you explain your re-tweet of an article highly praising Congreswoman Ocasio-Cortez? Do you support her?

    1. To all conspiration theory lovers of imaginary bridges:

If the bridge is indeed not operational why does the regime feels like it needs to jam trucks across the bridge?

      Period
